The Coroner's Officer and Staff Association are proud to be affiliated with the University of Bolton's Coronial Law School. 

The Law School is launching a new academic pathway for coroner's officers and other professionals working in Coronial Services, Certificate (CPD) Coronial Services: Professional Practice.

Jemma, our acting Chair, recently visited Bolton to meet the course directors and to sign a memorandum of understanding between both parties. COASA members will be able to have valuable input into these courses via the Council. 

The course is a specialised part-time program that provides current and aspiring coroner's officers with the professional knowledge and skills they need to excel. 

The course is delivered entirely online, giving you the flexibility to study alongside your work commitments while gaining a formal qualification tailored to the complex needs of coronial services.

Academy of Forensic Medical Sciences
